Turtle Pool Care - Plain-English Pool Service Summary

Version 3

What You're Agreeing To — In Plain English

A quick summary of the main points in our Pool Service Terms & Conditions.

We want our service terms to be easy to understand. This summary highlights the main points. The full Pool Service Terms & Conditions remain the controlling agreement.

Your Responsibilities

  • Keep the pool at a proper water level. Low water can prevent equipment from operating correctly and may cause damage.
  • Give us safe and reliable access to the pool and equipment. Gates, access codes, locks, guard-gate authorization, and pets should not prevent service.
  • Secure pets when necessary. We need to be able to enter and leave the pool area safely.
  • Tell us before adding significant amounts of pool chemicals yourself. This helps prevent chemical conflicts and unstable or unsafe water conditions.
  • Review repair and maintenance recommendations promptly. This includes equipment repairs, filter cleaning, filter cartridge replacement, salt-system problems, circulation issues, leaks, and other conditions that affect our ability to properly maintain the pool.
  • Understand that delaying necessary repairs can affect the pool. Poor circulation, failed equipment, worn filter cartridges, leaks, or other unresolved problems can lead to algae, poor water quality, higher chemical use, or additional corrective work.
  • Pay recurring service charges and approved additional work according to the invoice terms.

What We Provide

  • Recurring pool care on a month-to-month basis unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Regular testing, chemical balancing, cleaning, and equipment observation based on your service plan and current pool conditions.
  • Normal maintenance chemicals in normal quantities when they are included in your service plan.
  • Service reports or photographs where available through our service system.
  • Notification when we observe an apparent equipment problem that may need repair or attention.
  • Reasonable efforts to maintain and restore normal pool conditions following storms, heavy rain, or other unusual events.
  • Service adjustments when weather makes normal cleaning unsafe or ineffective. Depending on conditions, this may mean limited service, chemical-only service, postponement, or a modified visit.
  • Reduced holiday service during Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks when appropriate. Full cleaning may still be requested and will be provided when scheduling and conditions permit.

Things That May Cost Extra

Some work falls outside normal recurring pool service and may be quoted or billed separately, including:

  • Equipment repairs or replacement parts
  • Filter cartridge replacement
  • Deep filter cleaning or filter disassembly
  • DE-grid service or sand replacement
  • Green-to-Clean treatment
  • Specialty stain or metal treatment
  • Acid washing
  • Leak-related work
  • Additional corrective visits
  • Equipment upgrades or installation
  • Extraordinary amounts of salt or chemicals
  • Specialty chemicals or treatments
  • Additional work caused by severe contamination, flooding, major water replacement, or equipment failure

We will generally notify you before significant additional charges are incurred when practical.

Other Important Things to Know

  • Monthly service is not priced by the individual visit. Weather, holidays, access problems, route changes, equipment problems, and other conditions can affect the exact number or type of visits in a particular month.
  • Weather may change what we can safely do. Heavy rain, lightning, flooding, high winds, tropical weather, storm watches or warnings, and unsafe site conditions may result in limited, chemical-only, postponed, shortened, or omitted service.
  • Pool equipment can fail even when the pool is professionally maintained. Pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, automation, plumbing, electrical components, and other equipment are subject to age, wear, weather, corrosion, and other failures.
  • Pre-existing stains, scale, plaster damage, cracks, deterioration, and similar conditions are not part of normal recurring maintenance.
  • Severely green or contaminated pools may require separate corrective treatment.
  • Either you or Turtle Pool Care may end recurring service.
  • Turtle Pool Care may suspend or discontinue service when conditions make continued service unsafe or impractical.
  • Service-related communication may be electronic. Text messages, emails, electronic invoices, service reports, and electronic approvals may all be used.
  • Electronic approval counts as authorization. A text message, email, electronic acceptance, or other clear approval may authorize repair or additional work.

This is a summary only. Please review the full Pool Service Terms & Conditions before accepting service.
