Weekly pool care from a local team that knows well water, big lots and country roads, because we live and work here too.

Your neighbors in The Acreage

Turtle Pool Care is locally owned by Andy and Ronda Moore, with our home base on Tangerine Boulevard in The Acreage. We have been serving local pool owners since Turtle Pool Care was established in 2024.

Living and working here means we understand some of the practical differences that come with larger properties: long driveways, gates, animals, heavy vegetation, open land and private well systems.

Our weekly pool service includes routine cleaning, water testing and chemical balancing, equipment observation and detailed service documentation. After each service visit, customers receive a service report with pool photos and a photo of the filter pressure gauge.

Pool care for well-water homes

Private well water is an important consideration for many pools in Loxahatchee and The Acreage. The makeup of well water can vary significantly from one property to another, so source-water problems should be identified before treatment is chosen.

Iron

Iron in fill water can oxidize when chlorine is added, causing discoloration and potentially contributing to staining on pool surfaces and tile.

Tannins

Tannins are naturally occurring organic compounds that can give water a yellow, brown or tea-colored appearance.

Hardness and minerals

Mineral-rich fill water can contribute to scale, deposits and changing water-balance requirements.

Sulfur and other source-water issues

Some private wells can introduce additional compounds that affect odor, water appearance or sanitizer demand.

Iron and tannins can sometimes produce similar-looking discoloration, but they require different approaches. That is why we test and evaluate the problem before deciding how to treat it.

When source water may be contributing to staining or discoloration, we evaluate the pool and water conditions before recommending treatment.

Why we may manage water level differently during dry season

During the drier part of the year, pools can gradually lose water to evaporation. On properties using mineral-rich well water, repeatedly topping off the pool can continue adding iron and other dissolved minerals.

For some pools, where the plumbing and equipment configuration allows it, we can isolate the skimmer and operate circulation through the main drain when the water level falls below the skimmer. This can reduce unnecessary well-water additions while keeping appropriate circulation in place.

Rainfall later in the year can then help restore water level with much lower-mineral rainwater.

This approach is not suitable for every pool or equipment configuration. We evaluate the system first and discuss the approach with the customer before using it.

Pool service built for larger properties

Trees, pollen and open land

Larger properties can mean more leaves, pollen, dust and wind-blown debris reaching the pool, increasing the importance of consistent cleaning and filtration.

Gates and access

Many properties have gates, long driveways or access instructions. Reliable access helps us keep weekly service consistent.

Dogs, horses and other animals

Customers should keep animals safely separated from the pool-service area when necessary so technicians can complete service safely.

Summer storms

Heavy summer rain can dilute pool chemistry, shift water balance and increase algae pressure. Regular testing and adjustment help keep the water stable through changing weather.
